I have been busy and you have not. In case you were wondering, no, you were not a New Year's resolution. It's not because I don't love you; I just was under the impression that we needed no resolving.

And perhaps we didn't.

But perhaps now we do.

So be it.

Since I began ignoring you, I...

1. Went home. To Ohio.

2. Drama-wrangled.

3. Stopped avoiding the not-a-relationship-that-would-be-the-ideal-relationship-if-it-were-a-relationship-but-it's-not-a-relationship-and-why-is-that-again-oh-right-we-have-no-good-reason-so-perhaps-we-should-stop-being-dumb-and-do-this-fucking-relationship-thing-already thing.

4. Scored two leather wallets and innumerable beeswax candles in my first Christmas as a vegan. Awesome.

4b. Decided I might be a bit more out of touch with my family than I'd thought.

5. Found some more credit card debt that I could make my very own!

6. Hosted Mo in Cali; squeezed in as much as we could amid our nasty-ass colds and all -- and took pickies.

6a. Saw SHORTBUS again. Still love it and will force it upon all my friends in due time.

7. Amassed four fucking parking tickets within the span of one fucking month. The fucking month I was fucking unfuckingemployed. Managed not to kill myself or any Los Angeles city employees.

8. Started substitute teaching.

9. Started tutoring.

10. Am planning to waltz into Whole Foods this week, tell them they are retarded (but in a nice way so they like me), inform them they've dropped too many balls and that that's unacceptable (but in a nice way so they like me), and demand they give me a job (but in a nice way so they like me).

11. Cleansed for six days.

12. Landed a student film. Still filming.

11a. Have come to think the fountain of youth may flow with brown rice. Not kidding.

13. Have taken many showers.

14. Picked up my bridesmaid dress for the little sister's August wedding.

15. Visited LA's (Skid Row and) Little Tokyo with Tea Boy. While cleansing. Have never lusted so madly for sushi in all my life.

15a. Am now addicted to genmaicha tea (so am basically subsisting on brown rice, both for food and drink) and have tried unfiltered sake (a little sweet, but a fun change).

16. Got my first haircut since the mohawk, and -- though never having had a thing for any Asian woman before -- developed a mad crush on my stylist the moment I saw her.

17. Have finally resigned myself to having a MySpace; decided to make mine purdy if I can't make it go away.

18. Made my mother a mix CD. Disregarded the high probability that she doesn't know what the hell to do with it.

19. Did laundry for the second time since moving in September.

19a. Yes, I am that resourceful awesome dirty.

20. Have likely forgotten a shit-ton of things I meant to tell you.

20a. Know you still love me.
